About Grand Mosque Tour from Dubai
Join us on this half day trip from Dubai to Abu Dhabi, which includes a visit to the Sheikh Zayed Mosque. Enjoy the convenience of comfortable round - trip transportation and spend a memorable day exploring one of the world largest mosques in the world in the company of an expert local guide.
Sheikh Zayed Mosque is home to the world’s largest hand-knotted Persian carpet. It is over 133 meters long and located in the main prayer hall. It took over 2 years and 1,200 carpet weavers from Iran to complete it. The carpet's main color is green, representing life in the desert, Sheikh Zayed's favorite color, and the first color of the Islamic flag. Its edges are a light sandy beige, similar to desert sand.
The Grand Mosque features seven Swarovski chandeliers, including one of the world's largest, hanging 15 meters high in the main prayer hall. These chandeliers resemble upside-down palm trees, symbolizing the UAE's growth and success. Crafted from stainless steel with gold plating, they're decorated with 40 million Swarovski crystals in red, green, and yellow.
The Mosque is surrounded by large blue tiled reflective pools that cover over 7,800 square meters. These rectangular pools are lined with dark blue tiles and decorated with thousands of blue mosaic pieces. These pools serve to cool the area, making it more comfortable for visitors to walk around. At night, lights make the pools look even more beautiful.

My wife and I decided to take the Grand Mosque guided tour from Dubai during our vacation, and it was the highlight of our trip! The tour was very well organized. Amar, our guide, was passionate about his culture and we learnt so much from him. He also showed us the best photo spots where we could capture photos of the chandeliers with fewer crowds around. The visit to the mosque was indescribable, you have to see it to believe it!
Our visit to the mosque was incredible. We had expected to see beautiful architecture, but the place exceeded our expectations. Everything that we saw was so rich, beautifully decorated and luxurious and we loved every minute of our visit. The journey was comfortable, our guide was helpful. Overall, it was a great day in Abu Dhabi!

Visiting the Grand Mosque is like paging through the book of world records, superlatives and greatest achievements. Here is the glimpse that illustrates what awaits you there:
The Mosque complex consists of 82 white marble domes of different sizes with the largest one located above the main prayer hall. The buildings are supported by 1000 columns that represent the main principles of Islamic faith and community. The Mosque was constructed with white marble, signifying purity. Some 100,000 tons of ice white marble was brought from various regions in the world.
The Mosque's interior is illuminated by 7 grand chandeliers made in Germany and decorated by millions of Swarovski crystals and 24 carats gold. In the central prayer hall you will see one of the world's largest chandeliers, measuring 15 meters in height and weighing around 12 tons.
The Mosque, which took 11 years to be completed, is a tribute to Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the late president of the UAE, whose vision shaped this magnificent structure.
